Skydive Empuriabrava
Skydive Empuriabrava is the largest dropzone in Europe; operating 365 days a year and with vast numbers of visitors from all over the world.
The Background
The dropzone provides free Wifi internet access for the visiting public, however due to the volume of visitors using the service and increasing use of streaming media, bandwidth and download speeds had become an issue.
The Solution
A TigerCube was installed and configured to limit and block access to specific types of content. Skydive Empuriabrava decided, that it was acceptable to use the internet for free, but not for the visitors to download Adult Content, Music or DVD sized movies using P2P software.
The resulting installation has provided a massive benefit to the vast majority of users, who now enjoy quicker and more responsive use of the internet when visiting sunny Spain.
