Base System Requirements
TigerCube has been designed to run on well-defined, and therefore supported, hardware. TigerCube extends the CentOS Linux distribution and in general, hardware supported on these platforms will be supported on TigerCube.
The minimum requirements for installation include:
- Keyboard & monitor
- SATA, IDE or SCSI disks should be acceptable
- Standard IDE CD/DVD Drive
- 512MB RAM
- Recent high performance processor (P3 or higher)
- Internet Access
To get the best performance and reliability from your system we recommend::
- 1+ GB RAM
- Hardware RAID
- Intel/Dual Intel network adapters
To use specific network features of the TigerCube such as content filtering, application filtering or firewall, the system should have two standard network interfaces cards.
To use tape backups, the system requires a SCSI tape backup device.
Installing TigerCube onto poor quality hardware may result in your product not functioning correctly. If you have questions regarding your hardware choices, please ask on the discussion forums or contact support@tigercube.net.
As is the case for any server solution, the requirements for hardware performance will vary depending on the intended usage.
When deciding the hardware required for using the TigerPBX component, refer to TigerPBX requirements section.
